I administer several WP blogs on one server. About a year ago I experienced a wave of crashes on the wp_options table. The problem was easily solved by repairing the table, but now it seems another wave has hit me.
It appears the crashing of the wp_options table has to do with a server restart, but both might as well be the result of something else, since it seems to occur during (medium) spikes in traffic.
I have found several people are experiencing the same problem sporadically. Is there anything known about this issue? Is it a problem with WordPress or a bug in MySQL (I am using v5.0.32)?
If someone could shed some light on this I would really appreciate it. Especially since lack of access to the wp_options table means wordpress will try to install itself 🙂
