Print Table Name and Description

    I added the extension to print the table but it is only printing the page title and the table itself (rows).

    How do I get it to print the Table Name and Description as well?

    [I have searched the forum for a solution]

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I assume that you are referring to the TablePress DataTables Buttons Extension and the “Print” button?
    That will indeed only give you the page title and the table data rows. There’s currently no way to have that print the table name and description as well, but I hope to be able to add support for this in the future. I’m really sorry for not having better news yet.

    Hi

    We are a non-profit.

    For us this means printing the table does not make any sense as people won’t know which table it is.

    Is there way to do it by adding a function to our theme?

    Hi,

    I’m currently not aware of a solution here, sorry. You could maybe try changing the page title, via some modifications in the theme.
    Alternatively, your best chance probably is to export the table to a CSV file, open that in Excel, save that as a PDF (potentially with additional information), and offer that PDF for download on your site.
