• I would like to inline and defer the css on my page, so I watched the video you suggested on this topic. I’d like to use the minified css to get the above the fold css. However when I view my page source, I don’t have a minified css file in there.

In Autoptimize settings I have Optimize CSS Code and Generate data: URIs for images checked off.

Any idea where that css file would be?

I know it wasn’t your video. Was just relevant to your plugin.

    URL is https://www.clicklockroofing.com/

    Thanks

ok, if you have “inline all CSS” active, disable that option. you will might also (temporarily) have to disable the “above the fold”-plugin.

I don’t have inline all css active, and i disabled the plugin. Seemed to move the AO jss file to to footer of the page but still no css file.

weird, *something* if putting all CSS (and it’s a lot) inline, somehow keeping AO from doing it’s job on the CSS. you’ll have to selectively disable/ reenable plugins to find out which one is doing that @sguerreiro

That’s something I noticed with this theme I’m using, most things seem to be brought in using CSS so there’s a LOT of it. Could the sheer volume of CSS be stopping it?

no, not really … I really think something else (a plugin or your theme) is preventing AO from optimizing CSS and is inlining the CSS by itself.
