• Hi Brajesh

If one does not publish media to the activity stream, they are not published (and that’s good), BUT their comments (of galleries and media) are published in the activity stream, independently of the privacy status. If a gallery/media is not public, clicking on a thumbnail in the activity stream comment points to a “nothing to see here” page, but the thumbnail itself is big and the comment text is visible, which means not full privacy.

So I think that a privacy status should be applied on comments of a gallery/media as well.

PS I do not use the plugin BP Activity Privacy.

    Hi Georgio,
Thank you for the details. I do understand that it is a possibility for the logged in or friends only media.

I will need a little time on this to rethink as BuddyPress activity have only two notions of privacy( public|hidden) and the schema is not efficient for implementing a flexible activity privacy.

I will certainly make sure that the album/media privacy is honored in the activity( most probably by making the activitis hidden and using some code to make it visible only on the media/gallery page).

    I will keep you updated.

    Thank you
    Brajesh
