what happens if you log out and try again?
Odds are, you’re still logged in as admin.
When I log out, and go to the link, I can view the private posts. And when I click to login, I have to login again so I am not log in as an admin.
When you login “not as admin” are you logging in as a user who has view privileges on the private posts? And on those posts are you setting passwords?
I got to the source of the problem. The adhesive plugin caused it. When I activated the plugin, I could view private entries without being sign in. When I deactive the plugin, I had to open up the entry and save it so that the layout page could show up with the “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”
If I don’t save it, I will get a page without the layout. I wonder how many other people used the adhesive plugin and find that it showed their private entires to the readers.
*shrug* Dunno…. I wouldn’t ever put anything “personal and private, not for other eyes” online to begin with. NOTHING is private online.
When I am not log in as an admin, I am not log in at all. Some of those password protect posts, which I made private, did show up (without the entries and requesting the password).
Now that I have disable the plugin, it seem that sometime the theme showed up and sometime the theme don’t show up on the private page when it show a page could not be found. Any idea how to fix that?
Not if the problem is adhesive and that’s what you want to use. IIRC, there are a couple of other “stuck to top” plugins around…. maybe one of them is included in David Chait’s chaitgear package, not sure now; and another might be found browsing around the links from Plugins.
