Thanks for the feedback and sorry for any confusion. As you discovered, this free plugin is only able to display photos from Instagram accounts and not from public hashtags I’m afraid.
We feel that the price of the Pro version is very reasonable considering the additional functionality (hashtags, locations, pop-up photo/video lightbox, carousels, captions, filtering, etc) but if your only requirement is displaying from a hashtag then I can understand that the price of the upgrade may seem excessive.

Thanks smashballoon. I get that for all those additional features, that would be a good deal, but I only needed the hashtag feed feature, so I went with another Instagram plugin offering that, along with a carousel display.
Best to you and your team for your hard work, I don’t think I am the audience for your Pro version!
