Problem about Quotation Mark in WordPress Version 6.3

    When importing xml files made by the exporter (Tools > Export), the importer (Tools > Import) converts ” to \” .

    For example, width=”810″ ==> width=\”810\”

    This occurs in WordPress Version 6.3.
    Please, fix this.

    Thank you for reporting this. Could you pease confirm if you are able to reproduce this error on a new WP installation without any plugins and using the default theme? Also, have you tried different XML files?

    If you can confirm that the issue is happening on a clean install with different XML files, could you please upload the XML causing this issue somewhere and share a link here so we can take a look?

    Sorry for my late reply. Thanks so much for your reply.

    I tested on a new WP installation as you said, but I couldn’t reproduce the same error. So, I guess it is not the problem caused by the WordPress 6.3 and the WordPress Importer plugin itself. Maybe by other plugins…

    I found that the Starter Templates plugin (Version 3.4.0) is causing this error.

    If someone else meets the same problem, please deactivate the Starter Templates plugin when you import.
