Problem adding Plugins and images

    I’m unable to upload images to WordPress. When I try, I get this message:

    Unable to create directory /home/willsher/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Also, when I try to add plugins, the server either times out, or I get the same message as above. I’ve also tried uploading the plugins by FTP, but the server refuses to save them in the plugins folder.

    Any ideas?
