Problem assigning users to correct category

What i’m trying to achieve is having users create a section on thier own post to upload their own images, but having them automatically go to the correct category, for exmaple if dave is logged in his photos go to the cateogry dave. However, if tom is logged in he cant see Daves cateorgy to select
