Problem cloning site

    Today I cloned my existing wordpress site in order to work on the theme without ruining my site.

    I transferred all files from my site to a new ftp and imported the database over.

    Everything went fine however when I try to logging on the new site it takes me to my main sites ACP meaning I cant access my CP on the new site. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening or how I could fix this?

    You need to edit WordPress Address and Site Address in the copied database. Make them reflect the new site’s URLs. Use a tool like PhpMyAdmin if your host has it.

    Hi, I managed to get it working in the end. To anyone with the same problem I went into the database and in the wp_options table I edited the site address.
