You have likely not completed setting up your Facebook application for Facebook login. Check the Debug section of Settings for information about missing fields.

Thanks for the response. I’ve gone through the debugger and every option is filled in with nothing left “red”
On the Social Publisher section I have a red X beside:
Authenticate with Facebook to allow your Facebook application to post to your Timeline or Page on your behalf when a post is published X
I have this VERY SAME issue.. SO is there some sort of WAITING PERIOD for my Facebook application????
Just deleted my app and started over.. the result is the SAME.. I CANNOT link any user accounts to my Facebook account or Facebook page..
As stated in the OPs post
when I click on “Add a Facebook account to your WordPress account” it takes me to my WordPress User Profile…at the bottom of the page under Facebook Account it says “Get Started”, but it doesn’t let me click “Get Started” and nothing seems to happen.
You know what would be REALLY useful is directions like the ones posted at these two sites which tell you how to setup your Facebook App..

The issue is that these instructions NO LONGER APPLY and the people who AUTHORED this plugin are under the mistaken impression that they’ve somehow provided CLEAR DETAILED instructions for what is REQUIRED to get this blasted plugin to WORK.. I cobbled together what is required to setup my Facebook app based on another site where I had configured it using these OLDER instructions and it STILL doesn’t work..

Ahhh if only the good folks at Facebook would use their genius to write good user docs.. The ISSUE is that there is NOTHING resembling step by step documents that outline how to create a Facebook app.. The debugger is HELPFUL, but it is not a substitute for user docs..
Once it was CLEAR HOW to create the app, then the issue was resolved..
Perhaps I’ll share the exact steps here for others who find this plugin useful, but the lack of user docs USELESS.. though one would think that this is something the plugin authors would be motivated to do..
