Ok, I get it. I need to bring back in the user names, even if it loads a bit slower 🙂
You are supposed to use the uploads playlist, not the user ID. user and playlist mode are the same. They both need a playlist ID.
On YouTube, go to your Users Home page tab and scroll down to the Uploads section. There might be “Top Videos” section above it. Hover over the “Uploads” title and a gray “Play >” button will appear. You can click this button and copy the id from that address or just “copy link location”. It is usually an ID starting with “UUxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxetc”
Sometimes you can just replace the first two letters of your user ID with “UU” and that is the right uploads playlist ID, sometimes not.
I’ve read it but I can’t find “top videos” section in my youtube channel! Sorry but I’m not so practical with youtube! Once in my channel home, I check and choose uploads (instead of “all activities”) and after having done it I really can’t find top videos, I’m sorry! :/.
Just find the id you was talking about, but it still does not work! :/.

I’m going to try and push an update this weekend. The plugin obviously needs better error reporting.
Actually I only paste the shortcode in a text widget as I wrote above: [youtube user]UU….[/youtube]. Am I missing something? Just sent you an email!
