• I have set up a WordPress account through my web site hosting using fantastico in the control panel. My account is fitnesshealthnutrition blog. I can log in ok and have published one blog. I want to get the API key but don’t know where to go to get it. When I am in my WordPress account there is nothing to click on – I keep getting directed to setting up an external WordPress account which is obviosly wrong. Any ideas?

  • Hi there, just set up an account wih wordpress.com
You don’t have to have an extra blog, just an account, once you have an account, log in and it will be in your profile.
    hope this helps.

    Hi

I went to my account http://fitnesshealthnutrition.org/blog/wp-admin/ and logged in. This takes me straight into dashboard – I clicked on ‘Your profile’ but there is no API key anywhere. I have clicked on everything and still no API key.

I am the Administrator and the only person with access to this account.

Is there any way of sending WordPress a support ticket on this matter?

Hi there, I think the confusion is that you are talking about logging into your own personal blog fitnesshealthnutrition.
The API key will not be there.
You need a wordpress.com account, which is different.
You don’t need a blog with them, just an account, once you have this your API will be in the profile on that account.
    Hope this helps to clarify.
    I know its confusing.
    Mike.
