Yes, I know. That is where I went to do the Blogger import, which didn’t work, as I described above. What I mean is that there isn’t a way that I can see to import a Blogger xml export file (option is: Import posts, comments, and users from a Blogger blog.) as there is for LiveJournal (option is: Import posts from a LiveJournal XML export file.)

That’s because there is not one. Until recently, Blogger didn’t offer any sort of “export” functionality. So WordPress has not got an importer for it yet.
The Blogger importer imports from your blogger account directly. It doesn’t use any XML file.

Thank you. Any clues as to why I can’t do the direct import from my Blogger account? After Google authorizes the transfer 0/0 shows up – no posts to import and none get imported even though there are many.
Do you have the blogger account set up to publish via FTP or something similar? Try moving it to a blogspot.com name temporarily, see if that works.

Thanks. Between that and samboll’s links I’m sure I’ll get it going.
