Thanks for your report; I regret the trouble you’re having with the Media/Library “list” view – I assume that’s the tabular view you refer to.
I have not been able to reproduce this problem on my system and have had no other reports from MLA users. MLA adds several features to the Media/Library “grid” view, but it does not add or change anything in the list view. The only interaction I can find is that MLA’s file type icons are downloaded when the list view is active.
You can disable MLA’s file type icons and see if that corrects the problem:
- Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant page and select the “Uploads” tab.
- Uncheck the “Enable MLA File Type Icons Support” box.
- Click “Save Changes” to record the new setting.
Then go back to the Media/Library screen and see if the problem persists. If it does, you can also try removing MLA’s enhancements to the grid view:
- Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant page and select the “General” tab.
- Scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section.
- Uncheck the “Enable Media Grid Enhancements” box.
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes” to record the new setting.
Without more details, those are the only two things I can suggest. It’s possible that MLA is interacting somehow with another plugin on your site, but I don’t see how.
Any additional information you can provide will be helpful. Thanks for your understanding and your interest in the plugin.

I think I found cause. There are too much columns in Media Library tabular view. After I disabled showing Attachment Categories and Attachment Tags as columns in table, it fixed it.
Thanks for your update with the good news on finding a solution. If you need to handle many columns in the Media/Library submenu, look into this excellent plugin:
Admin Columns – WordPress plugin | ww.wp.xz.cn
MLA works well with this plugin, too.
I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any other problems or questions about the submenu table display.

It seems problem is more generic. Table width is limited, so only solution is to reduce number of columns.
One would expect that table could be as wide as possible, even if that requires horizontal scroll, but it seems it is not meant to work that way.
Thanks for this interesting update. On my system, table width expands to use all of the space available in the browser window without a limit. This is core WordPress behavior and should be the same on your system.
You wrote “even if that requires horizontal scroll“. It’s true that WordPress does not support horizontal scroll. That’s one of the enhancements provided by the Admin Columns plugin.
