Problem merging contacts

Hello,

Our client has reported they are having problems merging contacts within Jetpack CRM. We went in and confirmed the problem for ourselves, basically, if we check 2 rows (contacts) and from the drop down menu select “Merge Contacts”, it doesn’t respond. It does nothing. We can see an error in the developer console when doing this.

It seems to be related to jQuery, according to the developer console:

Uncaught TypeError: class constructors must be invoked with ‘new’

Is this something anyone else has encountered? we don’t have any other jQuery issues on the site so it does seem to be a jetpackCRM issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hey ScottishDev!

I tried merging contact on my test site, it is working fine on our end. Could you please check if you have any other plugin installed that might be creating the issue?

Could you please deactivate (don’t uninstall them) all plugins except Jetpack CRM and then try to merge contacts to see if it works?

If it still don’t work, please switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty (keep all plugins deactivate, except Jetpack), and then again try to merge contacts to see if it works?

Hi Animesh,

I tried what you suggested and found one of the plugin’s on my site seemed to be causing the issue. I’ve now created a support ticket with the creator of that Plugin in hope that they can help me resolve the issue.
