Problem Re-installing my Backed Up data Base!

Hi everyone,

I am new to wordPress so I am discovering everyday new things and new problems!

I have WordPress installed on my iMac as a local host with MAMP app. Lately i wanted to install it to a MacPro to make sure i can show the progress to my teacher for a project i am doing!
The installation went well and WordPress works but when i try to install the Data Base i backed from the Desktop machine to the laptop, something seems to not work and i can’t have access to the same information as on the first version of my blog…!

Can anybody explain to me how it is done properly!
