Problem restoring database

One of my blogs was hacked – it of course was hosted by GoDaddy. When I found this I backedup the databasbe, unisntalled WP then reinstalled it – if you go to http://blog.collegefootballfanatics.com you will see the fresh install. However, when I restored the database and changed the wp-config to point to the old database it pulled up the old theme and posts…and the malware infection. What am i doing wrong? I want to just import all of my old posts into the new install.
