I’m not sure but they may have fixed this. Members to my site say they can log in now. Theys aid they kept getting captcha, but then wouldn’t them log in.
If you still experience issues with Jetpack 3.4.1, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?
1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
5) Click the “Contact Support” button. Thanks!
I have the same probleme. Sometimes I get the same error message and sometimes simply a white screen. In this case a have to rename the jetpack-folder with another name to be able to reach my wp-admin/plugins.php
I only have two, or three standard plugins running. Same for the theeme. What I tried already:
– uninstall, install again
– upload and install manually
– deactivate all other plugins
– checked all steps on the trouble shooting pageThe Debug page says, that my wp can’t communicate with jetpack.
When I have the missing “client_id” issue, the post says:
“https://jetpack.wordpress.com/jetpack.authorize/1/?response_type=code&client_id&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhifilux.de%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3Djetpack%26action%3Dauthorize%26_wpnonce%3D74eb9ffce2&state=1&scope=%5Badmin+crypt%5D&user_email=%5Bemail%5D&user_login=%5Blogin%5D&is_active&jp_version=3.4.1I have no idea what to do else.
Oh, what I recognized also is, that after the installation, when it askes for activation (I use it in German) it lands on the same page, what is shown while the installation, with the hint: “installation not succesfull, folder still exists” (translated to Englisch).
The installation seems to be fine instead, but will end in the error message after trying to connect to wordpress.com.SOLVED partly…
I tried it wih IE, instead of firefox and it worked perfectly
– have Firefox 37.0.1 with Adblox-Plus running
– on IE11.0.9600 it worked@marcuslieder If you still experience issues, Could you follow the instructions I posted above to send us more details about your site?
Thanks!
I tried already, as i wrote:
The Debug page says, that my wp can’t communicate with jetpack.
@marcuslieder Could you use the link at the bottom of the page to send us the debug test results?
@jeremy: sorry, no I can’t. when I klick on “activate” I get
under Firefox
– a blank pageunder IE a 505:
– http://hifilux.de/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=jetpack%2Fjetpack.php&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s&_wpnonce=636c5a8164Could you check your server error logs around the time when you experienced the issue, to find out more about the error?
If you don’t know how to access your server error logs, your hosting provider should be able to help.
Let me know how it goes.
okay – give me some seconds…
should we communicate via mail? (then i could provide you more information)I tried the activation again and got:
[Mon Apr 27 19:54:24 2015] [warn] [client 141.30.239.100] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/MY-SERVER/httpdocs/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 791, referer: http://hifilux.de/wp-admin/plugins.php
I will forward it to the hoster and see, what they say.
That’s a common WordPress issue I’m afraid. You can follow the instructions here to learn how to fix it:
