Problem upgrading network with NextGen Gallery

Hello,

I’m trying to upgrade a multisite where NextGen is installed only on main blog. When I try to upgrade the network I get “Could not find NextGEN Gallery database tables, upgrade failed !” for the rest of sites.

I have seen this problem reported by many people but I didn’t see any solution.

WordPress v.3.5.1 (network not upgraded)
NextGen Gallery 1.9.12
