Problem uploading backup from WP Clone

    About 5-7 years ago I generated a backup to my designer portfolio via WP Clone.

    I downloaded a folder, and this week I tried zipping it and uploading it through different plugins and methods.

    Nothing is working.

    I got the following Backup error code:

    BMI-VkcaT3tW-29282

    Hello @g46ny ,

    Backup plugins don’t just simply pack things into a zip archive. The process is more complex than just that. Also when it comes to restoring backups. Also different backup plugins have different methods, so backup files will not work in-between plugins.

    In your specific case, I recommend that you restore your 5-7 year old backup using WP Clone. During this process you might need to adjust WP, PHP and WP Clone versions for the compatibility.

    After that I suggest that you make the updates that you wanted, and also update WordPress version and switch to Backup Migration plugin, and create a new backup file with it.
