Hi – just installed footnotes on a multisite and it appears that on a specific sub-site Footnote is only visible to the super-administrator in the Dashboard (under Settings). I’ve logged into that sub-site as more than one user with regular administrator access and it doesn’t show then, only when I log in as super-admin. Please advise.

In the current version there is a simple check implemented to check if the current User has the permission to read/update the Footnotes Plugin settings.
Seems to be a problem with sub-sites.

I will check that and update a new version ASAP without that issue.

Please check out the new release version 1.3.4.

    Your issue should be fixed.
If so, please mark the support thread as reloved.
Otherwise can you tell me the role name of your ‘regular administrator access’ user?

Hi – upgraded to 1.3.4 although that does not seem to have resolved the issue. Footnotes is still not visible through the Settings menu on the dashboard on the sub-site in use.

Other users of the sub-site in the administrator role are:

    npct
    npctadmin

    Thanks!

    Hi.
    Please try the following steps:
    1) Login as regular administator in your sub-site
    2) Go to the “Plugins / Installed Plugins” page
    3) Check if the Plugin “footnotes” appears.

If it appears, click the “Settings” hyperlink below and check what happens. The link should refer to the settings page of the Plugin.

If there is no “footnotes” Plugin displayed your sub-site doesn’t know about the Plugin and can’t display any settings.

When I log into the sub-site as a regular administrator (“npct” in this case) Plugins does not appear in the Dashboard menu at all, hence I’m not able to check whether footnotes appears. This holds true for other sub-sites on the multisite using different logins that are not the ones I’ve already given you. Yet when I log in as super-administrator it’s there, no problem.

I’ve uninstalled footnotes from the multisite but the problem persists with not being able to see the Plugins menu item on the dashboard when logged in as anything but super-administrator.

    Hi mistercat97,

we’ll reproduce your situation and assess what’s going wrong. Stay tuned..

So I’ve installed a multisite wordpress and I also installed footnotes.
While it doesn’t appear in the list of plugins, it’s still available in the Settings menu for the network administrator.

If I’m the site administrator however, I can not see the settings of footnotes. Another Plugin of ours is visible, though (competition).
So this seems to be an issue with the footnotes plugin indeed. We’ll investigate further.
