Problem with ads
-
Hi there,
recently I have a problem with the ads, the plugin doesn’t register often as you can see on this picture: https://ibb.co/3Y1dpxXT
For reference that page have 13 ads.
When I open the ads It will register all and show there in the toolbar, few seconds later will drop to zero.
Could this mean that ads will be prevented from showing or means something else.
I would like to learn as for example recently I can see from those 13 ads, I get recorded impressions only on 2 or 3 sometimes.
Thanks

any news about this?
Hi @doggozila ,
I can confirm your homepage does have 13-16 ads at the moment (fluctuating due to auto ads?). Screencap here.
One thing I do notice is that on page load, only the top 3 ad requests are firing for your Adsense. The other ad requests only load as the user goes further down which is a valid lazy loading behavior. It could be not a lot of people are scrolling down if you are consistently seeing 2-3 recorded impressions. Hope this helps!Hi Martin,
Yes I noticed that I have problem with the lazy loading, so I installed WP Code Snippets and I disabled all lazy load everywhere. I wanted to ask if this would help me with the problem?
Also after I installed this plugin, now in the advanced ads plugin I have notification that says: Advanced Ads handles header and footer codes. You might be able to remove Insert Headers and Footers.
I’m not sure what this mean, I only disable the lazy load in the other plugin. If you could tell me what does mean this notification in advanced ads plugin.
Once per month I have problems with the ads, my adsense stats stop to record any impressions and sometimes after day or two, sometimes week to three weeks restart to record the impressions again. So, I looked in your pro paid offer and saw there you have cache, lazy load options and more, could these options help me with this problems?

Hi @doggozila ,

The lazy loading is likely from your theme and it actually is beneficial to have that on. No need to turn it off. If you turn off lazy loading, all ads will load but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are viewable. The key thing to address there is why people are not scrolling down. The few impressions are only a symptom of this main problem.
If you could tell me what does mean this notification in advanced ads plugin.
This only means that Advanced Ads detects other ad insertion plugins and these could potentially cause conflicts.

This might be policy-related if it keeps happening. Do you get emails from Adsense regarding restricted serving or temporary suspension?
So you suggest to deactivate the WP code insertion plugin from where I disabled the lazy loading and enable it the lazy loading again?
There isn’t other ad insertion plugin installed, I use only advanced ads and have never used any other, this showed up after I disabled lazy loading.
I don’t have any policy restrictions and I have never had one or have ever received anything from adsense about restrictions or suspension.
Hi @doggozila ,
I see.
- To clarify, lazy loading isn’t disabled even now. I am not sure what setting you needed on WPCode but it did not take effect. As I mentioned earlier, the lazy loading seems like it is tied to your theme.
- You don’t need to worry about the notice if you just used WPCode to turn off lazy loading but since it did not take effect, if you have no other use for WPCode, you can safely uninstall or deactivate that plugin to resolve the notice.
- Thanks for clarifying that your account did not have any restrictions or suspension from Adsense.
Going back to your dilemma. So with 10-13 ad requests per page, you only get 2-3 Adsense impressions. While the ad requests are confirmed to be going out, majority of them look to be returning unfilled. It could be that there isn’t a steady flow of advertiser demand to your site due to either low viewability, low CTR or just an audience mismatch. Fill is something outside the scope of our plugin, however. What I suggest if you are focused on programmatic ads like Adsense is to focus on high viewability and fewer ads to maximize your inventory premium and hopefully get advertisers bidding more.
Try to check your ad requests vs matched ad requests in your Adsense reporting to get a sense of your site’s fill rate. Thanks.
I guess you checked the moment when I disabled the WPcode plugin, but now it’s enabled again so you can check, but I think lazy loading is disabled now.
You suggest to add fewer ads, (for example of those on home page, how much to remove from those 13) so I will try that as well.
Also wanted to ask why so often the ads in my blog list or archive lists are not showing, I have installed the on feed advanced plugin too but 80% of the time those ads are not showing on the list pages at all.
Maybe you could offer some help for that as well.
Thanks

Hi @doggozila ,
Typically, it’s not the number of ads but the final density. You can read about ad density but there are some articles like this from the IAB which state your ad density should not go over 30%. You can use that as a reference.Regarding the blog/archive/category pages, can you share a screenshot of how you configured the insertion?
