Problem with Centilium MasonryVersion: 1.4?

    Hi there

    I hope you are still alive and doing well … 🙂
    I am still using RecipePressReloaded version 0.7.12 for the simple reason, that with the Firmasite theme I use, for some reason the recipes are not displayed properly.
    I have gone through this before with you before, but it displayed OK on your side.
    Anyway, I wanted to try a new theme, including Centilium MasonryVersion: 1.4 with the hope I would be able to upgrade to the latest version of RPR.

    Unfortunately, for both versions, i.e. even after upgrading to Version 0.9.2, the site.com/recipe page is blank for this theme, although individual recipe and category pages, etc are OK.

    Is there a way around this?

    Hi,

    yes I’m still alive and doing pretty well. Though I don’t find the time to work on RPR any more.
    I guess the problem with your theme is, it’s altering the query so recipes (which are a custom post type) can’t appear. Just a quick guess.

    Thank you for taking the time to respond. Good to know you are alive & well. 🙂

    As a matter of fact, after a while it did not show a blank page anymore, but instead what was my complaint which I first reported after moving from the v7.x series, which included the /recipe page somehow only showing the recipe titles and no excerpts with the Firmasite theme.

    I decided to experiment with a couple of other themes starting with Twenty 13 – 16 and these display this same page in different ways, WITH excerpts and in some cases on the individual recipes pages, sometimes with the featured images twice. Other themes included Colormag, Viomag, etc. all with not too good display variations.

    I think I will stay with my current theme and decide whether to go back to v7.x with excerpts & all individual pages showing all nicely, or latest RPR version without excerpts [here]. My only problem with this theme is the author has not updated it for a long time, but may be because there’s no reason to.

    Anyway, thank you for your time.

    Update:
    After making an initial change to the above named theme, just like last time, the recipe overview page site.com/recipe was blank, in spite of repeated uploads and cache clearances.
    For some reason, a couple of hours later, I switched back and right now the recipe overview page is OK, but I’m wondering whether it will remain so for all visitors, since I do not know why last time and today, it was repeatedly initially blank.

    I will observe this for a while and see, before probably retaining the theme. I noted the categories page is blank, not sure why.

    I pleasant surprise is the excerpts appear on /recipe page with current version, which was not the case before and one of the reasons that made me stick to old theme.

    Anyway, thank you. Will report back.
