Which version of Chrome has the issue?
Version 34.0.1847.116 m – maybe other earlier versions also, pointed out to me by a client and not sure which version he’s using – thanks

Hmm could you describe what the issue is? I probably see it, but then again I’m not familiar with your site so I could be looking at the wrong thing
Best thing would be if you could have a look at it on Firefox, which is rendering correctly, and compare it with Chrome, which is not – unless you’re using a Mac, in which case its fine.
Basically, there should be some text: “Call 01977 615735” followed by 6 menu items – and the whole lot should be on one line. On Chrome it splits weirdly into two lines, with a big gap in between, like this:
Call 01977 615 About
735 Home us Courses
Any ideas? As I say, it was fine until I upgraded wp, and there’s no customisation.
Thanks
HI Andrew – have you had a chance to look at this? Does anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks

I had the time, but honestly couldn’t be bothered at the time to open up Firefox as another browser because it’s difficult to find in my Windows 8. Nothing against you.
But I just had a quick check and saw the problem in Chrome.
Have you considered validating your site http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.training4logistics.co.uk%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 ?
Thanks, yes – I’ve had a look at the validation, and most of it (apart from some missing image descriptions which I’ll deal with) is part of the WP or plugin code and outside of my control. I can’t see anything which might explain a specific Chrome/Windows problem.
Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks.

I dunno don’t you think the errors to do with missing tags in the navigation menu are related?

Actually those errors look like they’re pointing to your mobile navigation menu instead, but I know how many rabbit holes you can go down when debugging on invalid markup.
Yes – you can go on forever if you’re not careful. Also, assuming that you’re talking about the section with the stray start and end tags, I don’t see why its highlighted those as they look like valid markup to me. I’m beginning to think it may be a Chrome issue, but its strange that it didn’t happen with the previous version of wp.
