Problem with code snippet "Add Read More to Display Posts Shortcode"

Please explain me how to properly use code snippet “Add Read More to Display Posts Shortcode”.
I’m added code into function.php, but it running not properly:
– just now an excerpts of post displayed twice (with “Read more” and without);
– an excerpts of post displayed incorrect – after first excerpts with “Read more” and before title of second excerpt of post outputed stringArray< class="">
Anyone can explain to me what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it?
