Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– are you sure it is plugin specific problem?
Got it. YOAST was responsible for this.

The “Reply” option on the comment box is not working. Please let me know how to make that work?
Note: I am able to reply on comments from admin area (wp->comments->…) but the site visitors are not able to reply.
For example check this: http://www.linuxstall.com/linux-command-line-tips-that-every-linux-user-should-know/
Click on “Reply” there. You will not be able to reply to that comment. You can add new comment though but “reply” will not work.
