    Hi,

Recently I installed WordPress on my site and a few days ago I tried to install Jetpack and connect it to WordPress.com, but I keep receiving this error message:

    Outbound HTTPS not working

Your site could not connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. This could be due to any number of reasons, including faulty SSL certificates, misconfigured or missing SSL libraries, or network issues.
Jetpack will re-test for HTTPS support once a day, but you can click here to try again immediately: Try again WordPress reports no SSL support
For more help, try our connection debugger or troubleshooting tips.

Can anyone please help me and explain to me why do I receive this error message? I am not sure if I should have posted here or I should have asked my host admins or even the problem is because of the theme I am using.
Any help and advice is more than welcome.

    Thanks
    Vahid Rahmanian

This error is displayed when your server doesn’t support Outbound HTTPS requests. I would recommend that you contact your hosting provider to let them know about the issue.

You can let them know we tested support for outgoing HTTPS requests with a core WordPress feature, wp_http_supports:
    https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Function_Reference/wp_http_supports
    wp_http_supports( array( 'ssl' => true ) )

    I hope this helps.

@oworock If you’re not seeing this exact error, you’re most likely experiencing a different issue. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!

I have sent the debug log, hope to see solution quickly. Thanks @jeherve
