Problem with csv upload

    Hi,

    I’m getting an error when I try to import a csv file.

    “There was an error extracting data from the.csv file. Please ensure the file is a proper .csv format.”

    I have uploaded the csv to my database successfully from php myadmin.

    Is it a problem with the version of wordpress I’m using or do I need to try to save this out of excel? Currently, I’m using a Google doc as a spreadsheet and exporting it as a csv.

    I am getting this problem too getting the not valid csv file tried both MS-DOS Comma Separated(.csv) and windows Comma Separated (.csv) and neither of those work. even just for kicks tried a standard excel file. Tried in the browse for file file uploader the drag and drop file uploader and couldn’t get it to work.

    Hi do you see any other error messages displayed? What WordPress version do you have installed?

    This is not a valid .csv file extension

    Can you test another .csv file? Just for testing purposes.

    Ya I have tested a few CSV files and tested all the uploader options still get the error.

    Well after logging in to today the site is on WordPress 4.4.2 (current version) if that makes and difference and plugin version 2.1 (current version) tried again today with different .csv files still get the same error.

    Invalid File Extension
    This is not a valid .csv file extension

    One more test, can you disable all your other plugins except this one and carry out another test.

    If this was on a Dev site I could but this site is live and I can’t break the site to try to get a few comments back during the Dev time.
