Problem with Database Logs

    Hi Alimir, thank you for the awesome plugin.

    It seems that the new structure which switches the number of likes from meta values to database logs, doesn’t include likes from meta values if like logs (not likes data) have been deleted.

    Basically if I had 100 likes on a post before version 4.0 but deleted the logs (not the likes), I have 0 likes after switching to the new version because the 100 is saved as a meta value.

    What is the best way to switch from meta values to database logs if the logs have been previously deleted?

    Hi @almostworking

    We had already created the structure to operate a number of Likes distinct from the log system. Before the release of this update, we knew that this would put a lot of restrictions on it and lead to more processes.

    So we made a tough decision to disable the post-meta structure and calculate the number of likes based on the number of logs.

    We know this has caused problems for some users like you, so we’ll try to add an option soon that will add your previous likes to the number of new logs. 🙂
