Problem with formatting an embedded google map

I have embedded my first google map. The process is pretty easy, but there are some formatting problems. One is that I tried to change the iframe height to 500. This is so you can clearly see the address box. But it always reverts back to the default settings.

Second, I would like to align the map center with the rest of my photographs. But I’m having troubling aligning the map itself. How do you do that?
