I do not know why the picture has changed name and I can assure you it was not the plugin that did this …
First that the plugin does not (NEVER) change the original image
Second, it deletes all thumbnails and creates them again in new sizes.

is very strange thing. in some case add a prefix like now.
in other case replace first 4 char
when you plugin work it start forme the name (the title of the media) or from the file?
It does from the file…
