• Hi, I recently purchased Ultimate FAQ but I ran into a few problems. (I have installed the latest version 1.2.5)
    1. Import problem. I imported a Xlsx file with a few test questions, but the import generated blank entries WHICH I CANNOT DELETE! Delete option in FAQ does not work, no entries are moved to trash. This is very annoying; could be a bug?
    2. Tags not working. I added tags to my FAQs but when clicked, it generates an error 404 page instead of showing the tag archive page. Bug?
    3. Styling the main category title on the FAQ page does not work, because it doesn’t override the properties of the H4 tag. I managed with some custom CSS but I guess that’s also a bug :). I also would like to suggest that you add the possibility for adding space before and after the title as well. I also did this with custom CSS.

I really appreciate help for the first 2 problems. Especially the import issue is very annoying. I cannot provide a link to the site because it is in a test environment. If needed, I can create a temporary login for you to check the FAQ.

    Kind regards,
    Claudia

  • HI Claudia,

    1. Without any error message, or more details, it’d be hard to tell why the import failed, but it is likely due to something being incorrectly formatted. What you could do is create a few FAQs and then do an export. This will show you exactly how the spreadsheet should be formatted. You can then use this as a template to create the rest of your FAQs.

We’re unable to recreate the deleting issue you’re having. If you add a new FAQ manually, can you then delete that one?

    2. There is no bug with this. It is functioning as intended on our end. Have you tried resetting your WordPress permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and just clicking Save Changes?

    3. This also isn’t a bug. It could be that your theme styling for the H4 is coming after our styling and overwriting it. Does it work using the “Custom CSS” box? If not, you could try adding “!important” to the CSS property you’re modifying.
