    Hello,

Here´s information I can provide from my side:

    FooGallery-Version : 2.0.39
    WordPress-Version : 5.8.1
    Aktiviertes Theme : Nirvana
    WordPress-URL : https://heimwerkerin.missmonnipenni.at
    PHP-Version : 7.4.18
    Thumb Engine :
    PHP GD : Geladen (V2)
    PHP Imagick : Geladen
    WP Image Editor : FooGallery_Thumb_Image_Editor_Imagick`

I´ve mixed landscape and portrait images in this gallery. The images are loaded up correctly, I can see them eiter in landscape or portrait format.

When I open the gallery 1 (edit/manage), I can see all images as thumbnails in correct mode: either landscape OR portrait. As soon as I click on “preview”, the thumbnails are ALL turned into landscape format.

I´ve another gallery (gallery 2) online where landscape and portrait format are mixed, but in this gallery everything is ok: landscape = landscape, portrait = portrait. The settings for both gallerys are identical. 2nd gallery mixed landscape and portrait – working!

So, please, can you advise me what to change so that the format of the images is displayd as it should in Gallery 1?

    Regards Toffi-Fee

    hi @toffi-fee

I have seen this before, and what caused the same thing for another user was the orientation EXIF metadata stored within the image.

To test this theory, can I suggest you test the following on a single image that is “behaving badly”. Process your image through an online image optimizer that removes the EXIF metadata. Try to upload the new image and see if it changes the orientation.

You can try out tinypng, shortpixel, or any others.
