Problem with Like module on Jetpack after recent update

    WordPress ver: 6.7.1
    Jetpack ver: 14.3

    After recently updating jetpack the like button no longer work. The only issue it presents for the site is that the like button no longer show up for posts and comments. Occasionally the likes do show up as ‘loading’ for the comments but ends up stuck on loading.

    Additionally on the backend, when going into the jetpack settings > module > likes > configure, the page loads blank and using inspect it gives this error:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘addEventListener’)
    at sharing.js:461:16
    at sharing.js:614:4

    The page for the above error: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing#likes

    I’ve already tried most of the suggested methods of verifying jetpack connection, checking module status (all the proper settings are activated), switching to a default WordPress theme, and deactivating other plugins to check for conflicts. None of the above do anything. I’m not very good with technical stuff, so please let me know if I need to provide more information.

    Hi @jenmini

    Do you happen to be using Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader? It is currently not compatible with Jetpack Likes, Site Stats, some shortcodes, and other Jetpack features using JavaScript. You’ll consequently need to disable this feature in your Cloudflare settings.

    Sorry for the trouble. I seemed to have figured out it was my ad-blocker on my chrome causing the issue. Although it’s interesting that I have a different blocker for safari on my phone, but it still causes this same issue, even though it was fine until now. Thank you for your help!
