    URL?

Got what would seem to be the same issue on http://cochrane.equityonyourside.com and other sites. Only affects chrome, and only affects external (http://) links. Click the link, nothing happens at all.

Temporary fix is to add “noslimstat” so that SlimStat skips the link, which I believe means so tracking of the click but at least we can use hyperlinks… what would the web be like if we can’t even use hyperlinks. Might as well go back to reading newspapers. Thanks SlimStat, you’ve broken the entire internets.

Goldhat, your sarcasm doesn’t help at all. Searching the forum would have given you the solution: upgrade to 3.8.2 and the internet will be back to normal. Do it NOW, we are all counting on you to start using our beloved links again πŸ˜‰

The fact is that I have 3.8.2!

    my url is: http://www.forsafe.it

ales-bonelli, I see what’s happening. Your server seems to take a while to track the pageview (Javascript mode). In order to track the outbound link, the tracker has to wait for the pageview to be recorded first. This is why sometimes the first click doesn’t do anything. I would switch to Server Mode, and see if things get better πŸ˜‰

goldhat, the internets are still very sad, because you haven’t upgraded to version 3.8.2! πŸ™‚

I have issues as described in above posts regarding external links.
With methodical testing, here are the exact symptoms and how to reproduce them.

    – WP v4, Slimstat v3.82
    – Plugin Organizer v5.6.3
    – Chrome Browser v39.0.2171.65 m and IE-11 fail
    (Firefox 28 is NOT affected)

Reproduce-able (90% or more of the times)
    – CLEAR BROWSER CACHE
    – go to the http://mikesqualitybodyworks.com/slimstat/
    – click the yellow NAVIGATE button and wait a few seconds
    – usually you will be redirected to one of the other internal pages
    – click the browser back button
    – click the navigate button and wait….(Nothing happens usually)
    – click it again and you should finally be directed to the external page at google maps
    – subsequent clicks of the Navigate button will work normally
To recreate the issue, clear the browser cache and repeat the steps above

    Working pages
The other non test pages on this website work because I have disabled slimstat on a per-page basis using “Plugin Organizer”.

    Note
I have also tried disabling all other plugins to isolate an incompatibility without success.

Ales, go to Slimstat > Settings and under the main tab change Tracking Mode from JavaScript to Server-side.

    (@ales-bonelli)

No, it wasn’t that. Same behavior πŸ™

ales-bonelli, your pages are cached. After you change that setting, you will need to clear your wordpress cache πŸ™‚

    Thank you sir!
Are there any particular differences switching from Javascript to Server mode?

    Plugin Contributor Jason Crouse

    (@coolmann)

When using a caching plugin, JavaScript mode is more accurate. You may want to wait for v 3.8.4 and then switch back to js mode and see if the problem is gone πŸ˜‰

Since when I switched to Server mode I see the visitors more in detail.
I saw A LOT of 404 errors. All of them with people using Internet Explorer, and all of them at the url:

    /wp-content/themes/NAME-OF-MY-THEME/NAME-OF-MY-FONT-webfont.eot?

Do you have a suggestion? What can the cause of this be?
