    Hi,

Yesterday I update to the last version of the plugin and before that my rating in Google Pagespeed was 86 and after the update was 60 and the specific problem is in the picture attached: you can see how now shows the js files (red line) that previous to the update were correctly optimized. Can you help with this and tell me what options can I use to reoptimize this files?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards

  • Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

The files in wp-includes/js/dist are part of the “WordPress Blocks” code and are (and have been) excluded by default from JS optimization in Autoptimize americaretail, because blocks when used on frontend easily break when optimized.

Given the numbers shown by GPSI here, I suggest (here but also in general) not to use blocks on the frontend, because indeed they add a lot of extra JS-weight.

It is likely you recently added or updated a plugin (or theme) that has JS-heavy frontend blocks available which you might or might not use, so you’ll have to do some digging I’m afraid.

    hope this clarifies,
    frank
