That’s it.
I put the username, the password, and the 404 The page cannot be found error appears.

By the way, I have all file attributes at 755, and another interesting thing:
I put user & pass, and click OK, it loads, and appears the 404 arror, but the web address is the same one:
http://www.eltintero.net/wordpress/wp-login.php Does this means that still the pass is WRONG? Or it is just a reaction of the 404 error.
It looks like in your settings you have your WordPress location set to a folder called “wp” but it’s actually in a folder called “wordpress”. I was wondering why with different links you were saying that files were in wp and others in wordpress.

Sorry Mt. I made a mistake.
In the morning i uploaded worldpress, and i named the carpet ‘wp’, then, because it didnt work, i ereased it, and now, uploaded the latest version. Of course, i erased everything from the mySQL.
now, it is called ‘wordpress’ but still have the same problem, ani idea anyone?
Thx again
Your installation still thinks it is in a wp folder. Look at the links that are on the wp-login.php page. They are linking to files in the wp folder. The easiest solution would be to edit the database. In the wp_options table edit the option_value field where the option_name field is “siteurl”. My guess is that you have it set to “http://www.eltintero.net/wp” when it should be “http://www.eltintero.net/wordpress”.

Ok Mt, thx for that.
Now, the web page that appears is this:
http://www.eltintero.net/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F
User: admin
Pass: 09c8a6 (it was the generated password)
but I write it again and again, and the page just reloads.
That happened also last time i installed WP.
Thnx
I was able to login just fine. Have you tried to clear your cache/cookies? After you attmept to login see if you can get to http://www.eltintero.net/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php

Well, it’s something of my PC.
I have Privacy= Low, accept all cookies, etc etc. It appears that cookies are not working on my system.
Any idea on how to override this, while I find out what is happening with the cookies?
Use Firefox, the best browser ever!! π
@mdv,
Amen to that, brother! π
