I’m creating a a new topic, as the topics that I found are already rather old. The plug-in seems to be working properly with Polylang string translation, however there are certain strings missing, such as “From your account dashboard you can edit your profile details and edit your password.” and some others. How can I solve that?

The text you mentioned is a source text, so it cannot be translated using the Poly lang plugin. To translate the source text, you will need another plugin, such as the Loco Translation plugin. Kindly use the Loco Translation plugin to translate this source text.
