Problem with “Post Author” Element in WordPress 4.9
-
Since the upgrade to WordPress 4.9 the “Post Author” element is preventing the Elementor Edit page from opening the post. When I click on “Edit with Elementor” The page starts to load then freezes with the Elementor icon on screen.
Deactivating the Press Elements plugin causes a Fatal Error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_class_name() on null in /home/stvinmot/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/modules/global-widget/widgets/global-widget.php:122…
I tried creating test posts without the “Post Author” element and using the “Post title” or “Post Date” elements work fine.
I’m trapped now without the ability to edit these posts. If only I could open them I could remove the “Post Author” element completely.
Downgrading to WordPress 4.8.3 enables editing – but I loose all the data since the upgrade to wordpress 4.9
The Elementor Support team says: (after checking this issue on a staging site)
“Only the developer of Press Elements can solve that.”Please help me out here.
