    When we add a product to a different category the products permalink is being updated to that category. Even when the primary category is unchanged. Having the products permalink update when you simply add the product to an additional category is a very big problem.

    No one else has found this?

    Shouldn’t the permalink be the products primary category?

    Why is the permalink being changed to a category that is not the products primary category?

    Are you adding the product to a different sub-category of the same primary category, or a different main category?

    Can you let me know what “Product permalinks” structure you have set under Settings > Permalinks here: http://cld.wthms.co/xQs4cC ?

    I tried testing this on my site swtiching sub-categories and didn’t have any issues: http://cld.wthms.co/FTDwHD – is that what you’re doing or something else? Thanks!

    Hey Zach,

    We kept the main category the same and added products to different categories. The permalink was being set to categories that were not the main category.

    As a matter of fact I was just working on the site and noticed some of the products that were doing that permalinks are now set to the main category. We just launched the site and have allot of things to do so we can not do more testing in this now. When we do I will report back.

    If you get around to testing, I’d suggest checking for a theme or plugin conflict, and you can troubleshoot that by following the information here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

    If that still doesn’t help, can you let us know, and also include a screenshot of your “Product permalinks” setting under Settings > Permalinks for us to review? Thanks!
