Problem with redirects

I’m redirecting pages from an old site to a new WP site that uses Embedpress to display documents. The page displays OK when accessed through the new URL and redirect plugin shows the redirect works OK but I get this error when accessing the page through the redirect:

PDF.js v2.9.359 (build: e667c8cbc)
Message: file origin does not match viewer’s

For example, you can try:
http://www.tapdancinglizard.com/AS_henna_for_hair/Chapter_10_lightening_Your_Hennaed_Hair.pdf

The above URL redirects to this page:
https://migrate.tapdancinglizard.com/henna-for-relaxed-and-natural-hair/

How do I correct this problem?

Well, I have checked the page you are having the issue with. It seems like it isn’t getting the URL right. Please check the screenshot: https://d.pr/i/j6moln

Here you will see there is a missing “www.”. Can you please try putting the link again? It should work. We have checked the issue on our end, it isn’t happening on our end.

I tried adding the www but the error persists. The source URL is http but the target is https. Could that be the reason?

Yes, that could be a reason. Would you please try enabling HTTPS and give it a try?

The source site isn’t https and I wasn’t able to “fool” the server by changing the protocol signature. However, your previous suggestion about the missing “www” turned out to be the solution to another problem with my Embedpress pages and editing the HTML for the failing pages immediately corrected the error so thanks for that.

Other than that, we’re pleased with Embed press. It’s made presenting our PDF content much easier and more convenient to our users.
