Problem with registration emails

    Greetings…
    Recently I upgraded one of my WPMU sites from 2.9.2 to WP 3.0, and since then, the e-mails that should be sent after registration aren’t being sent. I deactivated all my plugins (including these who are located at /mu-plugins), but still doesn’t work.
    I made a small script to check if the mail() function was working properly in my server and it was, it sends the e-mails properly. I also tried one of the plugins I have installed to ensure it was sending e-mails at least (Newsletter Plugin and WP-Email) and both worked correctly.
    I tried installing WP-Email-SMTP but it’s still failing to send the registration e-mails. I used the test script in that plugin and it worked, so I don’t know what could be causing this problem.
    Oh and the core files are untouched, I’ve been trying to get this to work since yesterday. Any ideas?

    Tried both and it didn’t work. This is the only issue I’m having, because it’s sending other kind of mail without any problem.
    I tested both by deactivating all the other plugins first, so I know it’s not a conflict with other stuff I could have installed previously.

    I could debug the site, but in what page should I check for errors related to this problem? The “successful register” page?

    PS: I’m using Godaddy, btw. I forgot to mention that.

    So… No replies.
    I’ve also tried to reinstall WordPress from scratch on the same site, but I keep getting errors with the admin section, not even using the same table prefixes. I deleted every file, including the plugins, and in some cases I got a “redirections” problem and in other cases I just couldn’t login on the admin section, every time I tried it redirected me to the same login page, not even saying if there was a mistake or anything.
    I actually tried debugging this section but I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. Any ideas?

    I am having same problem with no registration emails being sent, except on one host, where wordpress 3.0 sends registration for mult user enabled but not for not enabled.

    On another host, no registration emails regardless of multi or not and have tried two plugins including smtp, via gmail, php mail, etc.

    I reinstalled several times…..

    I am out of ideas.
