Problem with RSS feed not updating
-
Hi all,
I have a problem with my personal blog’s feed no longer updating in a speedy fashion after I published a new article. I usually have to go to the feedburner panel and manually refresh the feed. Some infos about my blog:
- I originally imported the blog (incl. feed and blogposts) from an old Blogger blog to WP. This was over a decade ago and worked smoothly. The original feed was http://feeds.feedburner.com/RagingMonkeys
- When I just add /feed to my actual www-domain, it still redirects to the above feed URL. I’m not sure how that works because I don’t use a plugin to redirect RSS feed or anything. It has just always redirected in this manner. HOWEVER, every now and then when I use that feed address, I get a jumbled up mess of a white feed page that looks buggy.
- “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” appears on top of the feed page, not sure if that’s an issue.
I’ve had friends comment that they see my blog updates very late as it often takes several hours or even days for updates to show up (in feed readers or blogrolls) unless I refresh the feed manually. Even then, it’s not instant. I never had to do this in the past but it’s been like this for some time now.
Clearly something weird is going on with my feed and I would very much appreciate any helpful tips – thanks alot!! – Syl
