Problem with scrolling selected list

    Hi everyone!

    I’m experiencing an inconsistent behavior with Forminator dropdown fields that’s been puzzling me, and I’d love to get your insights on what might be causing this.​

    When I open a dropdown/select field in my Forminator form that has many options requiring scrolling, the mouse wheel behavior is unpredictable :​

    • Sometimes the mouse wheel correctly scrolls through the dropdown options
    • Other times, even though my cursor is hovering over the open dropdown, the mouse wheel scrolls the entire page instead of the dropdown list
    • The scrollbar is visible in the dropdown, but mouse wheel input seems to “pass through” to the page behind it

    Have you encountered this problem yet? Is this a known Select2 behavior ?​

    I’d really appreciate any suggestions or insights you might have! 🙂

    I checked the behavior of the Select field in a lab site, but I was unable to replicate this issue. The list of options behave properly while scrolling using the mouse, and the scrollbar; no issues.

    It’s possible that the issue you are experimenting may be caused by another component of the site; a plugin that modifies the styling rules of the list, or even the theme. I suggest you to make a backup of your site, and perform a Conflict Test by deactivating other plugins and temporarily use the default theme:

    If the issue persists after that, can you let us know the Operating System you use, what version is, along with the web browser you use?

    Thanks for your answer. Indeed it was a problem with the plugin Greenshift Animation addon and the smooth scroll option. If I deactivate this plugin, it’s ok. Maybe the “smooth scroll” option is overloaded the drop down list scroll?

    It seems Greenshift codes are overriding the forminator styles. I would suggest reaching out to the Greenshift developers to see if they have suggestions for this problem.

    In the meantime, I will run some tests in my lab site to see if I can replicate the problem and report it to our development team.
