• Hello, I had one site here hosted and using wp without any problem and yesterday i wanted to host another site.
But when I installed wordpress on the second site, the first one (when i visit it) is blank (default-without all my posts). Only the title is from the second site! Also when i type /wp-admin to log in the site as admin, it will redirect me to the second site log in.
When I go to file manager at my host´s control panel, the content is still there with all the plugins and themes I installed before.
So how can I change the path back please?

  • How did you install the 2nd wordpress is it independent in folder and are you sharing database or are they separate.

there is the problem…on the first site I installed wp by choosing one click install when I was setting up hosting. The second one I installed after I pick hosting and both sites were at the same account and I had only one database at the monent.
But now I created new account for the second site, but problem with the first one remains.
    What should I do?
    Thanks

All your posts and pages are saved on database and you will need to check your database see if you still have your posts and pages there as may be with the install must have replaced the original database.

I did´t find anything at the first sites database :-(, only default hello world post and so on…is that mean my content is gone?
And if it is…how do I redirect my website back from the second site to default first site? (for example: when i type into mozzila my first sites adress: http://www.google.com, it will redirect me to the second site: http://www.yahoo.com)
    Should I simply reinstall worldpress?

If you have backup of database that you had content on you can restore the database to get your 1st website as it was before you installed the 2nd one.

If you do not have back you could ask your host see if they can restore your wordpress as they do keep back up depending on when they last backup you may loose most recent posts that you can add once the site is restored.

thanks a lot, they dont have backup..so lets start over 🙂

learn from mistake always keep backup of database so that you do not loose any data if you make a mistake,
