Problem with “Set NextGEN Featured Image” function

    Hello

    My versions: WordPress 6.7.2, PHP 8.1, Nextgen Gallery v3.59.10. Twent twenty five child theme.
    When I try to use a Nextgen image as NextGEN Featured Image, the image does not show (in the editor or in the web site).
    When I use a normal features image from media gallery, it works well.

    Looking at the path of the image, I see the path is missing the “month” folder.
    As an example, this is the path to an image:
    wp-content\
    \uploads
    \2025
    \3
    \2-56374_4c2-150×150.jpg

    But the link of the NextGEN Featured Image is not correct:  /wp-content/uploads/2025/2-56374_4c2-150×150.jpg

    The month is missing.

    I could see a (closed) thread on this forum, about this same problem:

    But there is no information about a solution, I tried the code given in the last answer, but it didn’t work.

    Any suggestion of what I could do ?

    I made a simple test today : I installed a new WordPress ( v6.7.2 ) and NextGen Gallery ( v 3.59.10 ) on my wampserver.

    I have the same behaviour, I created a first gallery in Nextgen and added a few images in it. If I try to use one of these pictures as a NextGEN Featured Image in an article, the image does show at first in the preview in the article, but when the article is saved, the image is not shown any more.

    Same problem, the path is wrong (missing month folder in the path).

    So I am stuck and lost, what can I do ?

    Thanks for contacting us,

    It looks like there’s an issue with the NextGEN Gallery failing to display the featured image,

    A report has been created about this issue to notify our development team about it. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. I can’t currently provide an ETA for when a fix will be released. However, I’m taking note of this thread, and I’ll make sure to send you an update when an update that fixes this issue is released.

    Thank you for your answer. I feel a bit better reading you :), as there were no answer to my question, I was starting to think the problem was on my side and wondering what I could do.
