Oh, one extra thing – this morning we got 8 email notifications that had no name and $0 as the information. This is also what started getting us concerned. Thanks again.
The notifications and zero dollars is most likely some sort of spam. There’s an extension you can use (Goodbye Captcha, see http://zatzlabs.com/project/seamless-donations-plugins-and-extensions/) which can help with that sort of spam.
If you’re missing real donations, then that might be a different story, but the spammers are a pain, but Goodbye Captcha seems to keep them at bay.

P.S. Marking as resolved, but let me know if there are further issues.
Hi there,
I wasn’t that concerned about the emails and I will add the captcha to the site. I am concerned about the repeated donations that haven’t gone through. We had 2 from yesterday and 8 from today that don’t seem to have been processed. I know that people can stop, but since they just signed up last month, this is the first time it is actually repeating. Any thought’s on this?
Thanks,
Alison
How do you know they haven’t been processed? PayPal initiates the processing of subsequent repeats (i.e., month 2 onward). Have you looked at PayPal and see if it processed those donations?

It is a different person who gets the PayPal information. All I can see is the information on the dashboard and the plugin. Everything was working fine until the 11th of January. We’ve had a number of repeated donations happen over the past month. Then on the 11th, we should have had 2 go through based on the information on the donor part of the plugin, but they didn’t. There were 3 on the 12th that didn’t go through and one yesterday. I have contacted the person with the PayPal account and will update this post when I find out whether the donations have gone through on PayPal. I just don’t know why the whole thing was working fine until some point on the 11th. Thanks for keeping this post open.

Let me know. I’ll be here. It’s not anything in my code. I haven’t issued an update this month. But did another plugin update? Your theme? Or it could be PayPal glitching.
Seamless Donations-initiated repeating donations have properly executed their repeats in the past for you, right?

Hi David,
I was just able to connect with the person who is linked to the PayPal. So, PayPal has processed all the recurring donations however we have not been notified of these payments. It seems that we get informed of the one time donations, but not the repeating ones. Should I delete and reinstall the Seamless Donation plugin? If I do this, will it impact the upgrade that we purchased (we paid some extra so we could change the order of the donations amounts)?
Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Alison
You should be getting a ping from PayPal. Did you watch the PayPal tutorial? You might want to watch that and make sure your IPN link is properly set up in PayPal. That’s all I can think of that would cause the donations to not trigger (or, more precisely, PayPal triggers the IPN, which then runs the code that records the donations).

Here’s the tutorial URL: https://youtu.be/n8z0ejIEowo
Hi there,
I know that things were set up properly because the repeated donations were working before and the one-time donations are still working. It seems that at some point on Jan 11th, things stopped working. We got about 8 repeat donations go through, but 3 that did not that day and then a few more the following day.

At this point, I’m guessing it might have something to do with PayPal’s link to your site, perhaps the site wasn’t responsive fast enough during that time. Let’s keep an eye on it and see if it changes much.
