  • Hi @marialewicka ,

We appreciate that you use our theme.

Here are some steps to follow:

    1. Make sure the featured image is still set. It is used as the header/cover background, so if it’s removed, the cover disappears.
    2. Make sure to not hide the featured image in the Customizer.
    3. Disable Lazy Load or Optimize Plugins for a moment. It may cause to break image loading headers. Temporarily disable these plugins to see if the header images appear.
    4. Clear caches, wordpress cache, browser cache. If you use a CDN, purge its cache as well.

    Kind regards,

    Denis

    Hi Denis,

Thank you 🙂 when I turned off the Lazy Load they are appearing again…but it is quite strange we were using Lazy Load by W3 Total Cache sciense few months and before everything was ok…
Yesterday (when we had this problem) I have also notice, that when I make a new cover with the same picture everything is working properly…

Do you have any idea why does it happaned?

    Best,

    Maria

    Hi again @marialewicka ,

The fact that the same lazy loading setup worked fine for months and then suddenly started causing issues with existing covers suggests this could be related to a few different factors:

1.If W3 Total Cache, your theme, or WordPress core updated recently, there might be a compatibility change in how lazy loading interacts with cover block images.

2.Sometimes cached versions of pages can get “stuck” with broken image references, especially when lazy loading is involved. The fact that new covers work properly suggests the issue might be with cached versions of existing pages

    Why a new block worked?

This points again to a caching problem.

When you created a new block,WordPress generated it using the latest, updated code. When you saved that page, the cache stored this new, correct version. The lazy load script recognized this new structure and worked perfectly.

The problem remained for your old posts because they were still serving the outdated, incompatible version from the cache.

    Denis
