I’ve intalled Panel, and it looks fantastic.

I’ve uploaded a header, following the size sugested in the theme instructions, but the content keeps appearing in front of the header.

What should I do to fix this?

It looks like your site isn’t running Panel at the moment. If you still need help with Panel, let me know.

If you don’t want it to run Panel because of the problem you ran into, you could switch it back temporarily, and provide a link to the header file you used so I can download and test with it, as well as a screenshot of what it looks like.
